Everton transfer news as loan and permanent sale update emerges on Andre Gomes
LOSC Lille boss Paulo Fonseca, once an Everton managerial target is reportedly keen on signing midfielder Andre Gomes.
According to the Liverpool Echo [30 June], the French club are open to bringing the Portuguese either on another loan or on a permanent basis.
Gomes spent last season out on loan at Lille and Fonseca, who was being considered as Rafa Benitez’s replacement, per The Express, was impressed with what he offered his side.

Sell him
Gomes never quite seemed to thrive at Everton and there’s no reason to think that he’ll suddenly turn around a new leaf for next season.
Lille will want a loan as he’s going to turn 30 next year and he does not represent a long-term option worth shelling out a transfer fee on.
Fonseca, a three-time league winner, will be aware of all that and if a loan move is available, he will jump on that.

When it comes to Everton, they need to raise as much as they possibly can from the dead weight this summer and Gomes certainly fits into that category.
He is not getting any better and he does not really represent an ideal fit for the Toffees either so it makes little sense in keeping him.
Sean Dyche like midfielders that work hard off the ball more than their technical abilities and Gomes certainly is not an ideal fit for him.
In Everton news, Alan Myers has shared a major update on Sean Dyche’s future after a development over his sacking has emerged over the past few days.
