Everton transfer news as crucial days ahead for Illman Ndiaye move
Everton are one of several Premier League clubs targeting Sheffield United striker Iliman Ndiaye, with the Toffees having been keen on signing him since April, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Toffees and Marseille have been named by Romano as clubs interested in signing Ndiaye, with crucial days said to be ahead in the chase.
Everton were linked to Ndiaye in June [The Guardian, 27 June], stating that few clubs are as in need of a striker as they are, and there have also been rumours that Sheffield United will look to sell him this summer.

Everton should prioritise his situation
Given Everton’s mixed success in the transfer market in recent years, the club will be looking to do deals that have a low chance of risk, and a high chance of reward.
In terms of their options for a new striker, the Sheffield United forward offers something very few others can in his playing style which warrants results on the pitch. He picked up 14 goals and 11 assists in the Championship last season, proving his ability to do a bit of everything for the team.

Ndiaye is also an incredibly hard-working forward which will suit Sean Dyche’s style perfectly. He ranks in the 99th percentile of tackles and blocks among strikers in the Championship, while also being in the 99th percentile for successful take-ons. [Stats from fbref.com]
The Senegalese forward is as close to perfect as you can get in terms of how he fits in this Everton side, with his style of play able to offer the Toffees exactly what they need upfront.
In other Everton news, the club are hoping to start a bidding war over this young forward.
