Everton exits mooted for Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin amid ‘major headache’
Everton trio Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin should be moved on by the club this summer, according to Liverpool Echo journalist Chris Beesley.
The journalist noted that the three players have given Toffees manager Sean Dyche a “major headache” in recent times.
He added that they are, however, proving “particularly tricky” to move on from Goodison Park in the current transfer window.

“Everton’s transfer conundrums don’t just apply to bringing players in but also getting shut of the deadwood and there are some high-earners who are surplus to requirements that are proving particularly tricky to shift,” Beesley wrote for the Liverpool Echo.
“Howard Kendall, Colin Harvey and Alan Ball – the most-fabled midfield trio in the club’s history – were dubbed ‘The Holy Trinity’ but the Blues are facing a scenario more akin to football hell than heaven when it comes to trying to get Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin off their books.
“It’s a major headache that Dyche has inherited but along with Thelwell, has to try and find a solution to. Even on a good day – and those have been few and far between – none of the three screams of being a natural candidate to walk into an Everton team under the current gaffer.”

Trio likely to leave
Everton have a huge few weeks ahead of them as the players return from their holidays and get stuck into pre-season training.
The last, miserable campaign may have only just finished, but there is not much time from now until the new season gets underway, and not much has changed at all regarding the Merseyside club from last time out.
Manager Dyche has a long to-do list, with the boss needing to work his players into the ground in order to fully eradicate last season from their memories.
But the Toffees will not be able to avoid a third successive Premier League relegation battle on hard work alone, with player incomings and outgoings needing to be sorted before the new season gets underway.
New faces are needed, but perhaps they can only really be brought in when some of the old ones, like Alli, Gomes and Gbamin, are moved on.
