Everton can afford fee and contract offer for Swansea striker Joel Piroe with Nottingham Forest in the race
Everton are able to meet Swansea’s asking price for Joel Piroe and put an “important contract” offer to his entourage, according to Tutto Salernitana.
The Serie A side are also interested in the 23-year-old Dutchman on a loan-to-buy arrangement, but the Swans reportedly want to sell him outright or at least secure a loan with an obligation attached.
They are therefore believed to be behind both the Toffees and Nottingham Forest in the race to sign the man who has scored 41 Championship goals in the past two seasons.

Tutto Salernitana‘s editorial staff have reportedly established that both Premier League clubs are capable of offering the amount that Swansea want to let Piroe go, as well as making an attractive contract offer, leaving the Italian side’s hopes of landing the forward “fading”.
The update comes on the back of the news that the goalscorer would be interested in a move to Goodison Park, having already been subject of potential swap talks between the two clubs involving Ellis Simms, although the 22-year-old has now completed a move to Coventry.
Falling into place?
Everton will have learned not to get ahead of themselves after seeing so many pursuits of forwards fall through this year.
But the necessary indicators appear to be giving positive results, with the player apparently open to the move, and the financial capabilities at Everton thought to be good enough for once.
Therefore, if Sean Dyche is convinced that Piroe can be a suitable upgrade on the now-departed Simms there doesn’t look to be a major barrier to getting a deal done.

After 44 goals in all competitions since he moved to the UK two seasons ago he has a strong scoring record, but the fact that swap talks didn’t reach a conclusion between Everton and Swansea may suggest that the manager isn’t convinced.
He is going to need somebody through the doors sooner rather than later if Simms has gone and Demarai Gray might be set to follow.
Neal Maupay clearly didn’t prove to be the right man for the job when he was signed last summer so the club need to avoid signing the wrong targets, but Dyche risks being left without options if he can’t secure some new arrivals soon.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are also “hopeful” of wrapping up a cut-price deal for a proven top flight scorer despite mega-rich competition.
