Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants phone call with Everton outcast Dele Alli
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to have a phone call with Everton outcast Dele Alli in a bid to help the player.
The midfielder has played just 23 Premier League matches since the summer of 2021, having spent last season on loan at Besiktas.
Alli played under the new Chelsea boss during his time at Tottenham, with the player shining in the 2016/17 season with 22 goals in all competitions.

“I hope to have some time to call and see because he is a great guy and I want to talk a bit with him,” said Pochettino, as quoted by Sky Sports.
“I want to help him and see what is going on.”

Hope remains
Many football supporters, not just those of Everton, are seemingly divided in two when it comes to the future of Alli.
One half are perhaps confident that, given his constant struggles both on and off the pitch, the midfielder has wasted his potential and will not be able to get back to his best.
But the other, more hopeful half still believe that the 27-year-old can turn things around and become a key player under Toffees boss Sean Dyche.
And the latter could definitely come true if indeed Pochettino does get the chance to speak to his former player, with the manager one of the very few figures in football to be able to work wonders with Alli.
Everton could definitely do with a player of his talents, with Dyche and all Toffees supporters desperate for the midfielder to find his old self in the upcoming season as the club look to avoid a third successive Premier League relegation battle.
In other Everton news, the players have undergone dental and vision check-ups as Finch Farm insight emerges.
