Everton must splash £3.4m to sign Arnaut Danjuma on season-long loan from Villarreal
Everton have been told that it will cost them £3.4m to sign Arnaut Danjuma on a season-long loan deal from Villarreal, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Dutch forward was close to joining the Toffees in January and even underwent a medical and press shots, before Tottenham swooped in to hijack the deal.
And according to the reliable Di Marzio, writing on his personal Twitter account (14 July), they are battling with AC Milan for his signature this time around and the Spanish club have made their price clear.
“AC Milan is going ahead with Taremi and Reijnders and also wants Danjuma, outside of the Villarreall,” he wrote.
“Milan would like him on an expensive loan, last year Villarreal gave him to Spurs and took a €3million (£2.57m) loan for 6 months, so now they’ll want €4million (£3.43m) for the whole year.”
According to Fabrizio Romano the player has already met with Sean Dyche about a potential move to Goodison Park this summer, with Everton holding no grudges over what happened in January.
But if they want to get a deal done they will need to act quickly with Milan pressing ahead for this loan deal to strengthen their own attack ahead of the Champions League this season.

His talent is clear, being described as “brilliant” previously, with his attributes clearly matching what the team needs and what Dyche wants.
But with competition high, the club must be decisive to get a deal done and ensure they don’t miss out on such a good player once again in short succession.
In other Everton news, the Blues want to sign this winger whose club want him sold in 48 hours.
