Everton in ‘terrible’ financial state as club very much for sale

Everton are currently stuck in a “Terrible” financial position at this very moment, according to The Athletic.

The online source has reported that the Toffees are very much for sale during a perilous time for the club with profit and sustainability charges hanging over their heads.

Farhad Moshiri has made it no secret that he is looking for outside investment, with MSP Sports Capital still not confirming their expected 25% takeover.

“Right now, Everton are very much for sale at a perilous time for the club. They are attempting to finance the new stadium while battling FFP and trying to cling on in a division they were very nearly relegated from in both of the last two seasons.”

Terrible.

It is clear as day just how bad the finances are at Everton right now, with the yearly accounts appearing to get worse with each passing year.

Moshiri looks to have run the club into the ground as he looks for ways to continue funding the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium after years of reckless transfer spending.

That has now caught up with the club though, with the likes of Rafa Benitez, Frank Lampard and now Sean Dyche all facing very limited transfer budgets.

That combined with trying to stay in the Premier League has led to two nerve-wracking seasons, with a third possibly not survivable for the club.

Everyone agrees that the sooner new investment, or even a complete sale of the club is complete, the better every last person will feel.

It has been a dark few years, we cannot afford to let it get even darker.
