Everton eyeing £10m+ transfer deal for Nigerian striker Victor Boniface
Everton are eyeing a deal for Union Saint-Gilloise striker Victor Bonifance as they look to improve their striking options this season, according to Football Rover.
The online outlet has reported on 18 July that the club were impressed by the Nigerian’s “astounding” goal-scoring prowess and versatility, and has already taken initial steps to explore the possibility of bringing Boniface to Merseyside this summer.
It is also reported that Boniface, who scored 22 goals in all competitions last season, would be open to a move to Everton, which has added to their confidence in completing a deal, with a £10.3million valuation having been placed on him by his club.

He would be perfect for Everton
The Toffees’ interest in Boniface comes as no surprise following an excellent season in Belgium, where the striker racked up 22 goals and 12 assists in all competitions. At just 22 years old and standing at 6ft 2, Boniface could be perfect for Everton.
He is a mobile striker with a great eye for goal, ranking in the 98th percentile for completed take-ons and the 95th percentile for non-penalty goals when compared to other strikers in the Belgian Pro League [stats from FBref.com].

At his low price tag, Everton could see Boniface as a very good value signing. If he comes in and performs well for them, they will have bought a brilliant player on the cheap, with the potential for a huge sell-on fee if he impresses other clubs.
His ability to both score and create goals could make him perfect for a two-striker system that Sean Dyche may look to deploy following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s return to fitness.
In other Everton news, the club are ‘hell-bent’ on signing a player whose exit from Leeds was confirmed.
