‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano drops Arnaut Danjuma Everton medical update
Arnaut Danjuma will undergo his Everton medical in the coming days after agreeing to join the club on loan for the season, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Writing on his personal Twitter account (20 July), the reliable transfer journalist reported that the Dutch international has accepted a move to Goodison Park and is set for his medical tests.
But while Sky Sports are reporting that he will undergo his medical today (Thursday 20 July), Romano says that is not the case and it is likely to happen at the weekend instead.
“Danjuma will undergo medical tests as new Everton player in the next days, it could be weekend – not today,” he wrote.
“Agreement reached on loan deal from Villarreal until June 2024, as reported earlier.
“Danjuma has accepted – he already spoke to Sean Dyche.
“Here we go.”
Perfect
Obviously a medical as soon as possible has to be the aim for Everton to get this deal over the line quickly, but the weekend will do just fine.
After Danjuma did all the medicals and media work for a move in January before pulling out at the last second, fans are right to be concerned and fearful until the club officially announce something.

But Romano is very reliable when it comes to these things and the Dutch winger surely wouldn’t drop out of the running for a move again considering the way his eventual move to Spurs went.
Everton are finally bolstering their attacking options and it’s fair to say that Danjuma could well be the replacement for Richarlison that we have been craving in a wide role, with his excellent goal record and ability to beat players one on one.
Dyche has got his man but the club can’t stop there and must continue to push for more transfers ahead of the new season starting in a little over three weeks time.
In other Everton news, financial details emerge after the Toffees tabled a bid for this Premier League attacker.
