Everton working to sign Leeds United attacker Wilfried Gnonto since April, player wants move
Wilfried Gnonto wants to join Everton this summer with the club working on a transfer with his agent since April, according to Football Transfers.
Writing on their official website (20 July), journalist Jacque Talbot is reporting that the Italy international has already expressed his willingness to move to Goodison Park this summer.
And the report goes on to state that while the clubs still need to agree a fee, the player’s agent Claudio Vigorelli has been to Finch Farm already back in April to work on the deal.

“Wilfried Gnonto has expressed his willingness to join Everton, with the Merseyside club having put in the groundwork to clinch the Leeds winger since April,” they wrote.
“FootballTransfers revealed Everton’s interest in Gnonto in May and since then talks have continued. A fee still needs to be agreed between the sides after the Toffees’ first bid was rejected.
“We understand the attacker’s representative, Claudio Vigorelli, was at Finch Farm earlier this year when the Goodison outfit were still fighting relegation.”
Special
There is a reason that Michael Skubala dubbed the 19-year-old as “special” earlier in the season and that’s because he’s capable of doing things other players can’t.
Everton are desperate to add some attacking talent to the squad to help ease the load on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and also contribute more goals from wide areas.

Arnaut Danjuma is close to being done on a loan deal, but Gnonto would be able to add a lot more to the squad in terms of raw ability and quality from a wide position.
If the club have been working on a deal since as far back as April they have obviously been given plenty of assurances that there is a deal there to be done with Leeds and that the player is keen to move.
The new season is only a few weeks away now, so the time is right to really step up and with one bid already rejected it won’t be a surprise to see this advance sooner rather than later one way or another.
In other Everton news, the club are open to selling one star to boost their transfer kitty for a new striker.
