Sean Dyche shares brand new Everton transfer update after Sporting CP clash
Sean Dyche has shared that nothing is imminent when it comes to new signings at Everton after their friendly win over Sporting CP on Saturday 05 August.
Alan Myers shared his quotes via his personal Twitter account, as Dyche revealed that although there are no imminent incoming players at Goodison Park, the club are working on deals before the transfer window shuts on 1 September.
Everton are still looking to make several signings this summer, with the Premier League season set to begin in one week’s time, and have been linked with a move for Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah [TEAMtalk, 5 August], while Sporting forward Youssef Chermiti is expected to be finalised soon [Sky Sports, 5 August].
Incomings are needed sooner rather than later
Everton’s lack of serious business has been a key talking point this summer, with 36-year-old Ashley Young and winger Arnaut Danjuma having arrived already, but the Toffees are still badly in need of reinforcements all over the pitch.
Despite Danjuma’s arrival, Everton are still desperately short for wingers, with Demarai Gray and Dwight McNeil the only out-and-out wingers in the current squad, and Gray is expected to complete a move to Fulham after advanced talks have taken place.

The squad also needs reinforcements in midfield, as James Garner has found a new role as a right-back, leaving Idrissa Gueye, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Alex Iwobi and Amadou Onana as the only starting midfielders, with three of those to be involved every week, and a lack of depth beneath them.
Dyche will need further arrivals at Goodison Park if he wants to help steer the club away from another relegation battle after a poor couple of seasons on the blue side of Merseyside.
In other Everton news, one key player has hobbled off with an injury in the final pre-season game.
