PSG willing to sell Hugo Ekitike and considering Everton bid says Sky Sports journalist

Paris Saint-Germain are willing to sell Hugo Ekitike and are considering an official bid from Everton, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports journalist previously reported via Twitter (9 August) that despite holding a strong interest in the 21-year-old, the Toffees were yet to make any formal bid.

Although he later provided an update on the scenario, writing via Twitter once again (9 August) that the club had “submitted an offer”, which PSG are now deliberating over.

Ekitike scored three goals in 25 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last term.

So shortly after announcing that no offer had been made, Myers was back on social media updating followers that an offer had now been sent from Merseyside to Paris, which demonstrates how quickly the club are moving as they look to wrap up a deal for Ekitike.

A brand new striker is a priority for Sean Dyche, with the club desperate to bolster their attacking options after scoring just 34 goals in 38 Premier League games last season, the second-lowest total in the division.

So often the Toffees wait too long to make a move for a transfer target, although it now seems as if they are learning from their past mistakes, which will be much to the delight of the Goodison Park faithful.

Although he is not a regular for PSG, Ekitike is a talented young forward with a high ceiling and will be keen to get more regular first-team football with a view to breaking into the France set-up.

In other Everton news, the door is wide open for the club to move for a Chelsea attacker.
