Everton transfer news as Alan Myers drops claim on Brighton and West Ham United target Mohammed Kudus

Alan Myers has issued a transfer verdict on the Everton pursuit of Mohammed Kudus who is linked with a move to Brighton and West Ham.

The Sky Sports journalist responded to a fan on Twitter on Monday (14 August) who was curious amid the Ghanaian being on the cusp of moving to the Premier League, with him formerly being linked to Goodison Park.

talkSPORT’s Alex Crook claims that West Ham are now likelier with Brighton pulling out of the race to sign the 23-year-old.

Myers wrote on Twitter, “I don’t see that happening.”

Unattainable

Kudus has played in the Champions League and performed well against the top teams so the Toffees signing him is going to be difficult.

Last summer, things were different and he was actually open to moving to Goodison Park and could have if the hierarchy did a good job at getting the deal over the line.

However, that did not happen and he’s now likely to move to a big six club or one that can offer him European football at the very least.

Everton

Even if he were to be open to moving to Everton, his wages and transfer fee may be too much for the cash-strapped club to deal with.

Sean Dyche may look to sign a new midfielder, however, this summer, if Amadou Onana ends up leaving as he’s being linked with a move to Manchester United.

In exclusive Everton news, the Toffees are now in a transfer race with Juventus and Napoli to sign an ex-Premier League attacker.
