Injury Expert reacts as Everton attacker Tom Cannon faced hamstring tear in pre-season
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...
Everton may be careful with how much game time they give Tom Cannon due to his recent injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert also reacted to recent transfer news linking him with a move away from Goodison Park and any setback would jeopardise deals.
The 20-year-old picked up a hamstring injury which has been deemed a Grade 1 tear but did make the bench against Fulham last weekend when he was an unused substitute.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “He missed a couple of pre-season games but was back on the grass not long after. He also was on the bench for their league opener against Fulham.
“The injury has been deemed mild which may indicate a grade 1 hamstring tear. These typically can be around 10-14 days for elite footballers but the key is a methodical return to play, particularly since the hamstrings are quite sensitive to reinjury.
“Additionally, Cannon being a possible transfer out means Everton will want to be even more careful with him so he may not play that much until his future is sorted.“

ChronicleLive reported on 16 August that Cannon is all set to complete a loan move to Preston North End this weekend.
The report claims that Leeds United and Stoke City were understood to be keen on securing the striker’s services as well.
Despite the lack of quality options in attack, Sean Dyche and the Toffees hierarchy have made the decision to allow him to leave on a temporary basis.
In exclusive Everton news, the Toffees are now in a transfer race with Juventus and Napoli to sign an ex-Premier League attacker.
