Everton could hijack Fulham move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi
Everton could be prepared to “hijack” Fulham’s move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer, reports The Guardian.
Writing on their official website (23 August), the newspaper report that Fulham are keen to reinforce their attack having sold Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi Arabia earlier in the window.
However a move for Hudson-Odoi seems to have collapsed and now Everton have been tipped to swoop in and hijack a deal for the former England international winger.

“Aleksandar Mitrovic with Raúl Jiménez up front, Fulham need attacking reinforcements,” they wrote.
“Their long-awaited move for Callum Hudson-Odoi could be hijacked by Everton or Nottingham Forest though.”
Interesting
This is a really strange transfer link and it would be typical of Everton to bring him in simply because of that.
Demarai Gray looks set to leave the club this summer despite proving himself to be a valuable member of the squad with great talents and while Hudson-Odoi is very similar stylistically, he hasn’t proven himself anywhere near as much.

Chelsea are said to want an £8m fee for him which is likely to be a large chunk of what we get for Gray, and Hudson-Odoi’s current wages are no doubt larger than Gray’s.
But if Dyche isn’t a fan of Gray then the chances of him fancying Hudson-Odoi in this current set-up are slim to none and it just makes a transfer very odd for all parties.
Liverpool ECHO reported that he isn’t a target for the club right now which makes more sense, but there is usually not smoke without fire so it’s one to keep an eye on.
