Everton open talks for Udinese striker Beto after two bids tabled for Che Adams, no deal agreed with Southampton

Everton have tabled two bids for Southampton striker Che Adams but have been unable to agreed a deal and have now opened talks with Udinese for Beto, report talkSPORT.

Writing on their official Twitter account (24 August), the news outlet report that the Toffees have opened talks to sign the Brazilian striker as they look to bolster Sean Dyche’s attacking options before the end of the window next week.

But despite reports that a move for Adams had been agreed last week with Southampton, talkSPORT say that is wide of the mark and the Scotland international is not any closer to being an Everton player.

“Everton are in talks with Udinese over a move for Brazilian striker Beto,” they wrote.

“The goal-shy Toffees have also tabled two bids for Southampton’s Che Adams, but have so far been unable to agree a deal.”

Yikes

Everton need a striker and everyone who works within football is well aware of it, meaning they know how desperate we are.

But they should also be well aware of the fact that we have no money and won’t be sucked into splashing the cash on just anyone at this stage of the window.

Everton

The Che Adams deal was reportedly close to done according to reports last week and yet now it seems that people jumped the gun once again and Southampton aren’t willing to let him leave for what’s on offer currently.

It’s begging for someone else to step in and take him ahead of us at this point as we continue to dither with several attacking targets, and we’re going to end up being left without anyone again.

The club need to make a decision on who the top target is quickly and just go for it with whatever they have to ensure someone is brought in, and now both of these are on the table it could be one of them.
