Tony Bellew is desperate for Everton to seal Romelu Lukaku transfer
Tony Bellew is desperate for Everton to re-sign Romelu Lukaku and says “it would be a crime” if the striker is left stranded at Chelsea.
Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer after spending last season on loan with Champions League runners-up Inter Milan.
However, he has not been included in Chelsea’s squad for their opening two Premier League games of the season as they are hoping to sell the Belgian before the window closes.

A return to Goodison Park for Lukaku was touted by Dan Bardell on Sky Sports’ Good Morning Transfers show on Thursday [24 August], albeit with the journalist admitting it was “wild speculation”.
However, Bellew is excited by the thought of Lukaku putting on the famous blue shirt once again this season.
“I’m not going to lie, what I’d give to have Romelu Lukaku come back home right now,” he told talkSPORT, as per their live blog [24 August, 19:26].
“Chelsea are moving him out by all accounts and he’s probably going to go to one of the monster, big clubs, maybe Real Madrid or someone like that or one of the big Italian clubs.
“But if he is to stay in England, it’d be a crime not to see that man on the pitch playing in the Premier League.”
Perfect match
Juventus had been considered the frontrunners to sign Lukaku earlier in the window, but a move did not transpire and Chelsea are running out of time to offload.
The only hope at this stage, it seems, is for a Saudi club to make a big offer for the 30-year-old, who is no doubt just eager to play football.
That will not happen at Chelsea, with Mauricio Pochettino yet to even talk to the striker [The Mirror].
They say you should never go back, but Lukaku at Everton seems the perfect match. The Toffees are in dire need of a prolific striker, while Lukaku needs to feel loved again.

The Belgium international scored 68 league goals across his previous four campaigns at Goodison Park and, while he may now be six years older, there is no doubt he would provide an upgrade on what the Toffees currently have – a fully fit and firing Dominic Calvert-Lewin aside.
“Wild speculation” it may be, but if Chelsea are unable to find any permanent buyers come this time next week, it may well be that Everton – assuming they are still in the market for a striker at that point – make an approach for a cut-price deal or potentially a loan move.
That really would be a knockout signing.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has provided an update on the Toffees’ transfer situation.
