Alan Myers shares update on when Beto should be registered for debut v Doncaster
Beto will have to be registered before 12:00 noon on Tuesday [29 August] to be available for Everton in their Carabao Cup clash with Doncaster on 30 August, according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports journalist updated fans via his Twitter account, with the striker set to join Everton from Udinese in the coming hours after he flew to Merseyside to complete a medical over the weekend [Myers, 26 August].
The Toffees may want their new man to feature in the midweek fixture to begin his transition into the squad ahead of their next Premier League fixture against Sheffield United on 2 September, where he is likely to be needed.
Get it done as soon as possible
If Beto can be integrated into the first team and get some minutes under his belt against Doncaster, there is no reason why he wouldn’t be able to hit the ground running when the Toffees travel to Sheffield at the weekend.
Everton have been crying out for a new striker all summer, and it looks like they will finally get this deal over the line in time for him to start playing as soon as possible.
Beto will arrive in a side that have failed to score in any of their three competitive games so far this season, despite having 16 shots on target across the two home games with Fulham and Wolves, with both games ending 1-0 to the visiting side.

Their current attacking options consist of the profligate Neal Maupay, new arrival Youssef Chermiti who is thought to be one for the future, and Arnaut Danjuma who seems to play better when deployed on the wing. They have also faced injury issues around Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
