Danny Ings rejects Sean Dyche reunion at Everton, wants to fight for place at West Ham United
Danny Ings has rejected the chance to reunite with Sean Dyche at Everton as he wants to fight for his place at West Ham, report The Times.
Writing on their official website (28 August), the newspaper report that the former Burnley striker is a target for the Toffees as they look to bolster their front line further despite the £25m arrival of Beto.
But Ings doesn’t want to leave West Ham this month and wants to fight for his place at the London Stadium after only joining the club in January, meaning Everton will have to look elsewhere.

Move on
The striker position has long been one that has needed strengthening at Everton this summer and with days to go we’ve finally done something.
Beto’s arrival was confirmed on Tuesday and he will provide competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front, while youngster Youssef Chermiti joined earlier in the window too.
However Ings would provide a Premier League proven, ready-made option for the team and having worked successfully under Dyche in the past it could be a deal that would have hit the ground running.

But if he isn’t interested in making the switch that is his prerogative, and we can’t waste time on waiting around hoping to change his mind to get a deal over the line.
If another striker truly is wanted then we need to move on to the next target now rather than focusing on Ings, as we simply cannot afford to be left short considering we’re yet to score a goal in the opening three games of the season.
