Everton transfer news emerges on Kamaldeen Sulemana move
Southampton are set to demand any interested club pays the £30million release clause to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana, with Everton keen on a move, according to The Athletic.
The football news source shared via their Transfer News blog on 30 August [12:42] that a possible move for the Southampton winger could depend on whether Alex Iwobi and Demarai Gray leave the club before the deadline.
Both Everton wingers have been linked with moves away from the club this summer, with reports suggesting Iwobi was in advanced talks over a move to Fulham, while Gray has been expected to leave with Premier League and Saudi sides interested.

A big-money deal means moves will be necessary
Everton are keen on bringing in a winger before the transfer deadline on 1 September, but if moves can’t be found for Gray or Iwobi, it could prevent a possible move for new targets.
The Toffees will need to bring in money from these sales to put towards Sulemena, while their continued presence at the club could block the path for the Saints’ winger to join as there will not be space to fit all of them into the squad as well as the squad’s other wide options.
Early this season, Everton have struggled for wingers. Iwobi has been joined by James Garner as a makeshift right-midfielder, with new signing Jack Harrison and Dyche favourite Dwight McNeil both injured, while Gray hasn’t been involved as he pursues a move away.

Adding new players to deepen the squad at Goodison Park will be important if they continue to face the number of injuries they have so early in the season. Bringing in Sulemana would allow Iwobi to take his place in the middle, while Gray can provide further depth to McNeil on the left-hand side.
However, it appears Everton are reluctant to do the deal while the other options remain, so this should be one to watch for any movement.
