Neal Maupay, Andre Gomes, Tom Cannon and Jean-Philippe Gbamin could leave Everton before Friday deadline
Everton could allow up to four first-team players to leave Goodison Park before Friday’s transfer deadline, according to Liverpool Echo.
Writing on their official website (30 August), the news outlet report that all of Neal Maupay, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Andre Gomes and Tom Cannon could leave the club.
The Toffees are willing to consider approaches for the more senior trio, while Beto’s arrival could see the club consider allowing Cannon to consider his development away from the club after a successful loan at Preston last season.

“Neal Maupay, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Andre Gomes are among the other players on the fringe of the first team that Everton could be willing to consider approaches for, while interest in Tom Cannon also remains high and the arrival of Beto could pave the way for him to continue his development away from Finch Farm after his success on loan at Preston North End last season,” they wrote.
Perfect
The squad we have right now after a number of arrivals this summer mean the squad is in a good place currently, and it’s fair to say we can probably do with some exits now at this point.
Neal Maupay has proven time and time again that he isn’t good enough to be playing regularly at this level and an exit would probably be welcomed by the fans, while Gbamin has arguably been the biggest waste of money in the club’s history.

Gomes was excellent after his move from Barcelona but since breaking his leg against Tottenham he has struggled to get back to his best and a fresh break away from each other is probably best for both parties, especially after his loan at Lille last season which went well.
As for Cannon many fans would love to see him stick around and get a chance in the first-team, but his development means he needs to play regularly and he simply can’t be promised that here.
A loan away would be best for him, but if someone was to stump up cold, hard cash for him then with our financial status as it is nobody would be surprised to see him leave permanently despite the fact it could bite us in the future.
In other Everton news, one star is still “likely” to leave the Toffees this summer with the transfer deadline coming up.
