Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Wharton is not expected to face issues with his medical should he sign for Everton, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert highlighted his two setbacks in 2023 and believes they’re too minor to cause any issues with the deal going ahead.

Newspaper journalist Alan Nixon wrote on his patreon account on Tuesday (29 August) that Wolves had added the 19-year-old midfielder to their wishlist and he will cost £15million.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “In my opinion, the injuries he’s faced are not a red flag for his medical, particularly the ankle ligament injury which was contact based.

He faced a muscle injury before that but it’s nothing extraordinary or with long-term ramifications.

There’s always a risk for muscular injuries as you return to pre-season training.

Highly unlikely these injuries alone would cause issues with his physical.

The teenager is viewed as one of the best young players in the second tier and signing him would be an investment for the future as well.

However, he is not going to be available on the cheap and it remains to be seen if Wolves will be there right until the end of the window.

They’ve got financial woes of their own so may struggle themselves to get this deal over the line.
