Everton in last summer approach to sign Leeds United star Luis Sinisterra
Everton have made a last-ditch attempt to sign Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra, according to the Daily Mail journalist Simon Jones.
Writing in the newspaper on Friday (1 September, page 70), Jones said the Toffes had “asked” about the 24-year-old Dutch winger.
He also added how Sean Dyche’s side have enquired about the availability of West Ham star Maxwel Cornet.

Everton had previously been strongly linked with a move for Sinisterra’s team-mate Wilfried Gnonto, who reportedly handed in a transfer request (Sky Sports, 18 August) before later being integrated back into the team.
Sinisterra – once described by the Athletic writer Phil Hay as a “firecracker” – also missed matches in the early stages of the season in a bid to try and exit Elland Road.
Unlikely
Everton have already done one piece of business with Leeds United this transfer window, that being the signing of winger Jack Harrison on a season-long loan but they have been casting their net over Elland Road pretty much all summer.
The sage involving Gnonto dragged on and on but Leeds dug their heels in and Everton failed to land their man, and that move looks highly unlikely to be resurrected on transfer deadline day.

It would seem pretty fanciful too at this stage to imagine can put together a structure for a deal to convince Leeds to sell Sinisterra, especially seeing as though they have managed to bat away interest all through the window. Why should they change their stance now?
Everton could do with more faces before the window slams shut at 11pm, that much is true, but it is hard to imagine Sinisterra being among the arrivals. They should look elsewhere.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are set to land a cash windfall with Niels Nkounkou heading for a medical.
