Everton: Journalist shares what Beto did at full-time in draw v Sheffield United
Beto further endeared himself to Everton supporters by giving his shirt to one of the travelling fans following the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United, according to Liverpool Echo reporter Joe Thomas.
The summer signing from Udinese made his Premier League debut at Bramall Lane on Saturday [2 September] and played a full part in the entertaining game.
Beto has instantly become a fan favourite at Goodison Park and went out of his way to show his appreciation after the draw with the Blades.
In an overview of some of the unseen takeaways from the game, Thomas wrote on the Liverpool Echo’s online edition [3 September]: “The 25-year-old was impressive again as he made his first start for the Blues and was a constant menace to the home defence.
“This led to his name being chanted from the travelling fans during the game and, on the final whistle, Beto made sure to show his appreciation.
“The striker went up to the Blues after the match and gave his shirt to a fan in a move that will only endear him even further.”

Beto made an instant impact for his new club by scoring as a substitute in the 2-1 comeback win at Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup on Wednesday [30 August].
The 25-year-old did not score or assist at Bramall Lane but he was lively throughout, highlighted by his four shots and game-high six dribbles [WhoScored].
To put that figure into some context, no other Everton player beat their opponent while retaining possession on more than one occasion.
It is clear that Beto will have a major role to play this season if the Toffees are to stay in the Premier League.
On the basis of what we have seen over his first two games, the £26million arrival could well become a cult figure on Merseyside.
Should that be the case, the match shirt from his league bow will be a real memento for that one lucky fan.
