Everton transfer news as two clubs now in Andre Gomes race
Fenerbahce are now interested in securing the services of Everton outcast Andre Gomes before the window in Turkey closes, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.
According to the Sports Digitale journalist, the Turkish club want to sign a number 6 and view the 30-year-old as someone who will fit the bill.
Fellow Turkish publication AS Marca then claimed that Trabzonsport were also keen on signing the Portugal international.
Via Twitter, Sabuncuoglu wrote, “Fenerbahçe is interested in André Gomes, who plays for Everton.”
Good riddance
The 30-year-old has been linked with a permanent exit from Goodison Park for two years but a move has not yet materialised.
It seems like now, with two clubs keen on signing him ahead of the Turkish transfer deadline, things may progress quickly.
Both Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce will be fighting for European qualifications and perhaps even the league title.

Thus, they will not want their rivals to secure a signing for a player that could potentially give them the edge in the race.
Everton must capitalise on the interest shown in the Portuguese and get the most money they can for his services.
It remains to be seen which club ends up winning the battle and how much they can get from Gomes’ sale.
