Everton transfer news as Fenerbache show willingness to sign Andre Gomes amid Trabzanspor interest
Fenerbache are interested in signing Everton midfielder Andre Gomes and are showing a willingness to get a deal done, according to the Daily Mail.
According to the UK online newspaper (12 September), Trabzanspor are also interested in the 30-year-old Portuguese international but Fenerbache are showing the most willingness to seal the deal before the Turkish deadline on Friday 15 September.
The Toffees are desperate to get Gomes off their books with another Goodison Park exit now possible following the recent sale of Demarai Gray to Saudi Arabia club Al Ettifaq.

How is he still an Everton player?
The 30-year-old has been linked with a permanent exit from Goodison Park for all of about two years now with many certainly questioning how he is still on the Toffees books, but a move never seemed to materialise.
It’s been a long while since Gomes last starred in front of the Everton fanbase with his last Premier League appearance coming against Crystal Palace on home turf in May 2022 [Transfermarkt].

He was an unused substitute against Fulham in the Toffees’ opening day defeat at home to Fulham and is unlikely to turn again out for the Merseyside club any time soon.
The Portuguese international did show some flashes of his brilliance at times at Goodison Park and even before his unfortunate ankle injury in 2019, he looked to be a key player for the Toffees having made 27 appearances during the 2018/19 campaign.
With Friday’s deadline in Turkey fast approaching, Everton will be desperate for Fenerbache to firm up their interest with a formal approach and his efforts for LOSC Lille on loan last season means he is certainly worth a decent fee.
It’s now just days until both parties can finally go their separate ways. Good riddance.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche could make a brutal squad call on one Goodison Park favourite after a promising player development before the international break.
