Everton ‘in-fighting’ prediction shared with club ‘edging closer’ to crisis
Everton are “edging closer” to a crisis amid their poor start to the new season, according to journalist Alex Keble.
The Merseyside outfit currently sit 18th in the Premier League table, with one draw and three losses in the new campaign.
The Toffees are one of five clubs without a win, joining Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Luton Town and Burnley in this regard.

“Not unlike the top five, the bottom five – all winless – are about to enter a period of in-fighting,” Keble wrote for the official Premier League website.
“In the week between 30 September and 7 October, there are three huge six-pointers among the clubs without a Premier League win. Everton host Luton on 30 September, before Burnley visit the Hatters in midweek, with Everton travelling to Bournemouth the following weekend.
“Every one of those fixtures feels hugely important, but especially for Everton and Bournemouth, who were not expecting to endure such a slow start to the season.
“Sean Dyche’s team seem to be edging closer to a crisis, which is why after facing Arsenal and Brentford, the home matches with Luton and Bournemouth seem likely to define the trajectory of Dyche and the team this season.”

Huge period
Everton have had a hugely disappointing start to the new Premier League campaign, with the optimistic Toffees fans having predicted a different outcome from previous years.
The Merseyside club were involved in a relegation battle for the past two seasons, and are now already involved in one this time around.
Things began in the worst possible way with a 1-0 home defeat to Fulham, with that loss followed by miserable defeats to Aston Villa and Wolves.
Dyche’s side failed to score in any of those games, finally breaking their duck in their 2-2 draw at Sheffield United earlier this month.
Unfortunately for the manager, the fixtures don’t get any easier, with a home test against Arsenal and a trip to Brentford up next.
Then come the hugely significant early relegation scraps with Luton and Bournemouth, but an EFL Cup third round meeting with Aston Villa right before simply adds to the challenge.
In other Everton news, a £175million development has emerged on the mooted Toffees takeover.
