Long-awaited Bill Kenwright exit finally on cards at Everton after new 777 Partners update emerges
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright could finally be set to face the axe from his post at Goodison Park with 777 Partners set to kick off talks once a full takeover is completed.
The Miami-based investment firm have agreed a deal with Farhad Moshiri to buy his 94.1% stake in the club, with a deal expected to be completed after checks are done in the final quarter of 2023.
Talks had been ongoing all week and Moshiri has now agreed to sell the club to controversial 777, who are led by Josh Wander.

And in a new report by The Telegraph (15 September), the Miami-based investment firm are set to kick off talks with Kenwright once the full takeover is completed with a major boardroom overhaul expected once the finer details are ironed out.
Kenwright has been in his role as chairman for the past 19 years and remains an unpopular figure among fans and whatever those expected talks involve, it is certainly most likely to be Moshiri’s right-hand man being shown the exit door too after years of mismanagement and controversy throughout his tenure.
BBC Sport chief Phil McNulty, writing in his live Q&A session (4 September, 11:55am) shared that change was needed at the top and that Everton have been “dysfunctional” for so long and that change is now in the offing at Goodison Park with the controversial 777 Partners looking to take on Moshiri’s controlling stake.
McNulty specifically picked out the Kenwright debacle when the Goodison Park chairman was controversially kept in his role after Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Grant Ingles and Graeme Sharp all left their roles at the club on 12 June [BBC Sport].
The 77-year-old has been the subject of much criticism and unrest among Everton supporters with many fans demanding in the past that he and the rest of the club board stayed away from attending matches at Goodison Park for the foreseeable future.

Under both figures, Everton have been associated with dysfunction, turmoil and controversy for so long which has caused the majority of the Toffees support to voice their criticism and raging concerns, and understandably so.
Moshiri and Kenwright have both sucked all the joy out of Everton football club and the fanbase have been demanding and calling for their exits for so long and now that wish is now drawing ever so closer to becoming a reality.
While the 777 Partners takeover is drawing much criticism and controversy right now, Everton fans just simply want Kenwright out of the door first before crossing that bridge.
In other Everton news, a new player stance has emerged on a potential free transfer move to Goodison Park.
