Mark Goldbridge makes Sean Dyche sack claim ahead of Everton v Brentford clash
Mark Goldbridge has claimed Everton boss Sean Dyche could be in trouble if his side fail to get a result in their Premier League visit to Brentford this weekend.
Goldbridge, who runs a YouTube channel with over one million subscribers and has appeared on talkSPORT previously, made the claim while predicting this weekend’s results, although he has predicted the match will end in a draw.
He was joined by former Manchester United and West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster, who predicted a Brentford win due to Eveton’s continued struggles in front of goal so far this season.

Speaking on his That’s Football YouTube channel [21 September], Goldbridge stated: “I’ve got to go with… it could be a draw. I think Everton are so, so… I think if Brentford win this, Dyche has got to be in trouble.
“I’m going to go with a draw.”
This was met by Foster’s prediction: “I wanted to say Brentford win because I just think Everton in front of goal are really struggling at this moment in time.
“There’s a calibre of team that Brentford just seem to be able to turn over quite easily, bottom-half teams, and I feel Brentford will do this again on Saturday.”

Shouts of the sack are premature, but questions have to be asked
A loss to Brentford, however crazy it may sound given the relative stature of the two clubs, would not be a shock result for Everton. It is not so much of a free hit as a big-six side would be, but you cannot base whether Dyche should be sacked off the back of a loss to Brentford away.
The way the two clubs have been run couldn’t be more opposite to one another, with Saturday’s hosts still a side on the up while Everton are staring down the barrel of relegation and consistent financial troubles.
No wins from six games this season, with just two goals scored and both of those coming in the same game, does not paint a pretty picture for Dyche and his side, so if that continues we will reach a time when questions must be asked, but Saturday’s result will not determine that.
After the Brentford game, Everton face Luton Town and Bournemouth, both at Goodison Park. These are the games where Dyche will be expected to win, and if he doesn’t, a big call may have to be made about his role.
