777 Partners talks needed with Rights and Media after Everton twist - Finance Expert

We’re delighted to welcome football finance expert Dr Daniel Plumley as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Everton

Dan Plumley has insisted that 777 Partners will need to hold talks with Rights and Media ahead of their proposed takeover of Everton.

It comes after a recent Companies House filing from the latter which shows that there is movement in legal terms at Goodison Park.

The finance expert admitted that conversations will need to happen as to how any movement impacts 777 Partners and their plans moving forward, although no obstructions have been made so far.

“In the last few days, there has been another filing from them around a charge on the assets of Everton which links to previous deals,” he exclusively told Goodison News.

“There is a bit of movement from them in legal terms on Companies House that something is happening, so they’re in the mix as well.

Going back to the wider point, if you’re 777 now, you’ve got the agreement with Moshiri which is in play, but you’ve got to deal with all parties in the mix, including Rights and Media, so they will want a conversation as well, and there will be many conversations that need to take place as to how the structure of those deals impact the takeover and what 777 want to do moving forward.

If that takeover comes to pass then it’s their club and they will have a strategic direction they want to take things in.”
