Sean Dyche now walking on eggshells at Goodison Park as Everton look at new manager amid 777 Partners concerns
Everton have identified AZ Alkmaar manager Pascal Jansen as “top of their wanted list” as a potential replacement for Sean Dyche which leaves him walking perilously on eggshells at Goodison Park.
According to news outlet TEAMTalk, writing on 26 September, the Toffees have identified AZ’s coach as a potential Dyche replacement but face fierce competition from Rangers, and Crystal Palace who are both long-time admirers.
Jansen, 50, has undergone a terrific job at the club guiding Alkmaar to the Europa Conference League semi-finals last season and has started this campaign off perfectly, winning all his first five games in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Now his accomplishments with AZ are drawing admirers from Premier League sides and amongst clubs in Europe, after West Ham United considered him for their managerial post as a replacement for former Everton favourite David Moyes.
TEAMtalk also reports that Jansen’s work is putting him in the shop window for a number of possible options in his native Britain with Everton placing him high on their list of possible managerial targets.
However, it is understood that the Toffees have no plans to part with Dyche for now but it certainly does leave the former Burnley manager now walking on eggshells on Merseyside despite last weekend’s tremendous result at Brentford.

Everton recorded their first win of the campaign at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday (23 September) but it still seems as if the pressure is on Dyche after this latest report.
He’s got to get instant results and boost Everton’s position in the Premier League table, and fast because Farhad Moshiri and those alongside him simply cannot afford another relegation drama after what’s occurred over the past two campaigns.
Amid continued concerns regarding the club’s finances and the 777 Partners’ pending takeover, the hierarchy seemingly remains active in planning for the future of the club.

It’s always good to have a succession plan should things go awry but for now, Dyche still has a big job on his hands to transform the Toffees’ fortunes and usher them into a new and improved era, especially regarding all the potential takeover uncertainty.
This may well be Dyche’s biggest managerial job yet but how can he do it with such noise surrounding him? It’s a difficult test but one he has no option but to do his utmost to thrive under.
If not, Everton have already lined up one of Europe’s most promising and innovative managers on the continent and it won’t be a surprise to see Moshiri or the prospective new owners take a peek at Jansen’s glamour and make a snap decision with the rest of Europe watching.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are locked in a Premier League battle to sign one of the hottest teenage footballing talents in Brazil with a January exit now possible.
