Everton midfielder Amadou Onana may have upset dressing room – BBC pundit
Everton midfielder Amadou Onana’s recent comments about the quality of players may have upset some of his teammates, according to Michael Ball.
The 22-year-old stated that he has high-quality teammates at the international which lifts his mood, while not saying the same thing about his Toffees counterparts.
Ball, who’s also a pundit for the BBC, believes that he should talk to Seamus Coleman about this situation.

He told the Liverpool Echo, “Onana also spoke of how being in an environment with ‘high-quality players’ at international level lifts his mood, another comment that may not go down well with his Everton colleagues.
“I think someone like Seamus Coleman would be absolutely perfect to talk to Onana. Seamus has seen it all as the captain and will understand what Onana is talking about, but that you can’t be disrespecting your own teammates.
“Onana hasn’t been man of the match week in, week out. He still has a lot to learn.
“Yes, he has got a lot of talent and potential but he is far from the finished article. Unless you start turning up eight, nine, 10 matches in a row, you can’t think you are bigger or better than anyone in that changing room.”
Spot on
Onana is not an experienced player so he does not know how his comments can be interpreted and it’s not as if they’re being taken out of context.
Everyone knows that Belgium has more accomplished players than Everton, but that’s not something he’s supposed to say publically.
This makes it seem like he does not rate his teammates at the club level and he’s only happy when he plays for his country.

Sean Dyche and Coleman do need to have a word with him and see where his issues are coming from and how they can be resolved.
They also need to tell him in no uncertain terms that these interviews cannot be happening.
It remains to be seen how Dyche responds to these comments as he’s very likely to be asked about them in his next press conference.
In other Everton news, a condition has now emerged on Sean Dyche being sacked amid trouble behind the scenes at Goodison Park.
