Spotted: Everton image shows new development at Bramley-Moore Dock stadium on Thursday morning

Fresh images have been revealed of the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium as the new Everton ground continues to progress.

The Everton Stadium X account (19 October) posted images showing the development of the stadium’s roof, with the final section of steelwork lifted into place on Thursday morning (19 October).

The new ground will replace Goodison Park and become the Toffees’ new stadium for the 2024/25 season and has been selected as a host for Euro 2028.

Progress

Everton fans have very little to be happy about this season, but the progression of their state-of-the-art new stadium is exciting nonetheless.

While moving away from the famous Goodison Park could be a source of great sadness for many faithful fans, the club will need the added revenue boost from the improved capacity and infrastructure on the docks.

Even before completion, the new ground looks very impressive. Designers have done well to keep the old-school and traditional look of Goodison Park while blending the necessary modern architecture into the new building. It will offer match-going fans a more pleasant experience with greater facilities.

Everton

As per the Daily Mail (6 October), the new ground is set to cost an estimated £300million, but amid the financial instability at the club, many have feared the future of the build. The Mail claims that, despite the potential public outcry, the government may be willing to bail them out due to the “regeneration” potential of the area.

Regardless, the project looks on schedule and the ground will become the seventh highest-capacity Premier League stadium, frustratingly under a thousand seats less than Anfield. However, Everton fans have something truly exciting on the horizon.

In other Everton news, hopes of a Merseyside derby win have been boosted after a 100% Toffees ace shined with a “big” international performance.
