Spotted: Footage emerges of latest development at Bramley-Moore Dock site on Friday afternoon

Footage has emerged from the site of the new Everton stadium on the Bramley-Moore Dock site on Friday (20 October) afternoon.

Taking to X (20 October), the official Everton Stadium account released a video of the first seats being installed, with construction workers seen fitting the royal blue chairs.

The stadium’s roof was also installed on Thursday (19 October) while construction is set to be completed ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Glorious

It can be tough getting an emotional response when looking at a half-constructed stadium, but seeing the first tangible part of a stadium for matchday fans being installed is exciting.

Everton fans have little to cheer for at the moment. The league form has improved, but it followed plenty of headaches, while the club’s financial situation continues to be a cause of huge concern.

Their prospective owners have plenty of question marks over their heads and they have to sit through an anxiety-inducing Merseyside derby just after the international break.

Everton

However, the new state-of-the-art stadium is something that will unquestionably have most Everton fans feeling hopeful. Goodison Park is a historic ground which any football fan would be privileged to see. Many fans were against moving from the place they’ve called home since 1892, but this will be the Toffees’ fifth home in their history.

The financial implications of the new ground will be huge and hopefully reflect the ambitions of the club’s new potential owners. Soon enough the ground will be open, but with 52,888 seats to put it, it could take a while.

In other Everton news, hopes of a Merseyside derby win have been boosted after a 100% Toffees ace shined with a “big” international performance.
