Confirmed: Andre Gomes, Dele Alli and Seamus Coleman ruled out for Everton clash v West Ham United
Sean Dyche has confirmed Seamus Coleman, Dele Alli and Andre Gomes are still unavailable for Everton ahead of the clash with West Ham this weekend.
The Toffees have been without all three players all season so far, but the manager has shared some positive news on the captain after revealing he has now rejoined team training fully.
But the clash with David Moyes’ West Ham side will still come too soon for the veteran, while Dele and Gomes are still “a bit away” from being available.
“Seamus is back training with us fully now but obviously he’s been out for quite a while so he will need more just training to get that general fitness, and games as well because of the length of time,” he said.
“Dele is still a bit away and Andre [Gomes] is still a bit away as well.”
Fresh start
The Merseyside derby last weekend was always a game that Everton were expected to get nothing from, but the way the game went would have taken a lot out of the players both physically and mentally.
This week has been a chance for a fresh start to recharge and go again this weekend in another tough game against a really good West Ham side, but they’re beatable.

It’s a chance for Dyche to make a few changes to the team and get players into the team to impress him, while also giving key players a bit more freedom after a frustrating trip to Anfield last time out.
Injuries aren’t getting much better which means the boss has a similar choice of players to go from so there is unlikely to be any major changes, but we must take advantage of the fact West Ham were playing and losing in Greece on Thursday night.
It’s a great opportunity to pick up points and with the fans at Goodison Park behind the team and cheering the players on, nobody should be writing us off.
