Naming rights update emerges at new Everton stadium with Bill Kenwright verdict
Oliver Holt has suggested that naming rights for the new Everton stadium will likely go to a telecoms giant or an airline at Bramley-Moore Dock.
The Daily Mail journalist wrote in the print edition [31 October, pg 63] that it would be much more fitting to name the new stadium after Bill Kenwright following his passing.
It is suggested that without Kenwright, Everton may never have secured the finances needed to push ahead and build the new complex on the docks.

He wrote: “Without Bill’s guidance and drive, it may never have secured the finance for the magnificent new stadium, which is being built at Bramley-Moore Dock.
“It will probably be named after a sponsor, maybe a telecoms giant or an airline. How much more fitting if it were named The Bill Kenwright Stadium.”

Iconic.
Kenwright will always be remembered as the heart and soul of Everton Football Club, no one will dispute that.
Unfortunately, naming right deals can be one of the most lucrative in the world of football, just look at Barcelona and Spotify, so that will likely be the main focus of the club on that front.
With the financial situation of the club available for everyone to see while the case against the Premier League drags along, it is no surprise that has already been mentioned as a potential avenue.
One way that Everton could tribute Kenwright is by naming a stand or specific area of the new ground, and there is no doubt that surely something like that will happen.
That first day of moving into the new stadium will bring back so many memories, and it will bring another chance for everyone to remember Kenwright for all he has done for the club throughout his time there.
