Everton and Aston Villa made summer approach to sign Samuel Iling-Junior, permanent January transfer on cards
Everton made an approach to sign Juventus forward Samuel Iling-Junior during the summer, and a permanent sale could well be revisited in January, according to TuttoSport.
The Italian newspaper outlet, reporting on 2 November, claimed that both the Toffees and Aston Villa made an approach to sign the England under-21 international but the Italian giants kept hold of him despite the interest.
However, with his contract running until 2025, Juventus feel they aren’t in a strong negotiation position regarding his future and discussions will be held with the player in January.

According to the news outlet, there is a belief that Illing-Junior could be used as a “bargaining chip” in any potential deal as there are also “admirers” in the Premier League and a permanent move in the winter “cannot be ruled out”.
Dyche won’t say no
The 20-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting attacking prospects after emerging from the Chelsea youth ranks before joining Juventus and establishing himself in the first team in Serie A, making 12 appearances last season.
Hailed him as “superb” by talent scout Jack Kulig, Iling-Junior’s form for Juventus Primavera suggests that the youngster has the potential to become a future world star in one of Europe’s biggest leagues and the Premier League could well become his perfect platform.

He’s direct, fast, tricky and has a decent final ball on him too and at such a young age there is plenty of room for development and coaching from the likes of the Toffees. Iling-Junior has just made three senior appearances all season under Allegri and his future at Juventus is certainly under threat as a result.
However, with Dyche now possessing a much-renewed attack this season, with the likes of Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma added to the ranks whether he will have space for Iling-Junior is another matter entirely.
But, given the 20-year-old’s burgeoning gifts and potential, it’s a deal Dyche definitely won’t say no to.
