Alan Shearer gushes over Vitalii Mykolenko after what happened in Everton win v Crystal Palace
Everton left-back Vitalii Mykolenko has been named in the Premier League Team of the Week by pundit Alan Shearer.
The defender played the entire 90 minutes as the Toffees defeated the Eagles 3-2 at Selhurst Park on Saturday (11 November).
Mykolenko scored in the Premier League clash alongside Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gueye, with Eberechi Eze and Odsonne Edouard scoring for the hosts.

Speaking to the official Premier League website, Shearer said of Mykolenko: “Scored the quickest goal of the season and was unlucky not to add a second in an impressive win for Everton.”
Superb display
It really was a fantastic display from Everton left-back, who really has been impressing in the final third this season. He certainly wasn’t known for his goalscoring ability before the current campaign kicked off, but he has now scored in back-to-back Premier League matches, having netted in the 1-1 draw with Brighton earlier this month.

But he wasn’t the only one to impress at Selhurst Park, with Sean Dyche’s side all on top form as they picked up a huge three points on the road.
Palace have often been tricky to beat at home, but the Toffees managed to leave victorious thanks to a great attacking display.
The Merseyside club are now up to 14th place in the league table following the win, with 14 points from their 12 matches.
After early struggles, they now look more than capable of picking up points and scoring goals, much to the delight of Toffees supporters.
In other Everton news, an Athletic journalist has spotted a “weird” Dyche tactic at Goodison Park that is reminiscent of his spell at Burnley.
