Gabriel Agbonlahor shares instant reaction to ‘Minor’ Everton points deduction
Gabriel Agbonlahor has labelled Everton being deducted 10 points by the Premier League for breaching profit and sustainability as “minor”.
The Toffees were hit with the heavy punishment on Friday afternoon (17 November) after being found guilt of breaching the rules, but have already made their intention to appeal known.
But reacting to the news on his personal Twitter account (17 November), the former Premier League striker called it “minor” and backed them to get out of the relegation zone by January.
“Everton losing 10 points is a minor!” he wrote.
“The bottom three are miles off it! Everton [will] be out [of the] relegation zone before January!”
Wind up
Agbonlahor is a total wind-up merchant and is simply trying to stand out from the crowd with this reaction.
Everton know that we are in a ridiculous position now where after winning six of our last nine games in all competitions, we have just two points to our name in the Premier League at this point.

We’re approaching the halfway point of the season after the international break and find ourselves in 19th place because of this, meaning we’re right in the thick of a battle we have no place being in based on merit.
The Premier League confirmed that there was no sporting advantage gained, so punishing the team and fans with a points deduction makes no sense.
We have to unite and come together to get past this as a club and continue to get good results on the pitch, starting with Manchester United next weekend at Goodison Park with the fans right behind the team.
