Everton: ‘Very Interesting’ 777 Partners development shared ahead of Manchester United showdown
The Esk feels that 777 Partners has changed its media strategy since Everton were found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s Financial Fair Play rules.
The takeover situation at Goodison Park has taken a back seat since the Toffees were docked 10 points following the release of the Premier League commission findings.
777 has not provided a statement in the seven days since, and it remains to be seen if Josh Wander will be in attendance for Sunday’s (26 November) home game with Manchester United.
Everton financial expert The Esk posted on his personal Twitter page [24 November]: “Very interesting that 777’s media strategy has changed. Now almost complete silence over their attempted t/o of Everton.
“Zero public response to the PL commission findings. Will be fascinating to see how visible they will be at Goodison as Blues unite against the PL. Ultimately the PL are one of the gatekeepers to their t/o attempt.”
Silence
777’s silence through all this has been rather strange, although at the same time it must be remembered that they are leaning on the Premier League to help push through this takeover.
Sometimes it is better to say nothing at all, as in this case, and let matters that you ultimately have little say in to just play out.

The bigger question is what last week’s development means in terms of financing this takeover. With the threat of clubs suing for up to £300million, will the American investment fund be seeking extra assurances?
777 has been present at Goodison Park over the past month through Wander and others, and you would expect that to be the case for such a big game this weekend.
If not, though, then the longer this silence goes on, the more uncertainty there will be with regards to the takeover.
