Ben Godfrey expected to exit Everton in January transfer window as Sean Dyche freezes him out at Goodison Park
Ben Godfrey is expected to leave Everton in the January transfer window after being pushed out of the first team by Sean Dyche, according to football.london.
The news outlet reported on 30 November that the Blues are set to sanction the 25-year-old defender’s exit next month, just over three years since his £20million arrival from Norwich.
On 8 November, 90min reported that Newcastle, Tottenham and Rangers are interested in Godfrey.

Outcast
It won’t be a shock to see Godfrey playing for someone else by the time February comes around.
The ex-Norwich man has played just one minute of Premier League football this season, which came against Sheffield United back in September.
He’s clearly not in the picture with Dyche, rightly, picking other defenders over him after improving the Blues’ rearguard massively since he arrived at Goodison Park just under a year ago.
However, what is a surprise is the list of teams reportedly interested in him.
Spurs and Newcastle surely have better players on their radar than someone who is struggling to get game-time at a team in the relegation zone.
Rangers, meanwhile, are unlikely to be able to afford anywhere near what Everton would want for Godfrey and also what the defender would likely demand in wages.
If he leaves in January, we’d expect it to be for a mid-table Premier League club. The Toffees wouldn’t let him go to a potential relegation rival so maybe someone like Brentford or West Ham if they come in for him.
In other Everton news, fears are emerging at Goodison Park as more documents are to be submitted to the Premier League.
