He said ahead of the weekend fixtures on Premier League Productions (02 December, 14:11): “Everyone was waiting to see how Everton react to the points deduction which was tough for the club.

“You have to look at all the positive things you’ve done and that’s all you have to focus on.

“They were really good against Manchester United. Can’t focus on anything else.”

Keep going

Despite the challenging circumstances surrounding Everton, including a significant 10-point deduction and a subsequent 3-0 loss to Manchester United, there are reasons for the team and its supporters to remain positive.

Wright’s emphasis on focusing on the positive aspects is crucial in maintaining morale and the performance against United, despite the unfavourable scoreline, showcased the team’s resilience and capability, indicating that they can compete at a high level even under adversity.

It’s essential for the Toffees to draw confidence from the positive elements of their game against Erik ten Hag’s side.

Analysing the strengths displayed, recognising individual and collective achievements, and identifying areas of improvement are all constructive steps.

Every match presents an opportunity for redemption, and facing Nottingham Forest provides a chance to bounce back and accumulate valuable points.

By focusing on their capabilities and the aspects of the game they can control, Everton can approach upcoming fixtures, like the one against Forest, with optimism and the belief that they can overcome challenges and secure positive results.
