Everton attacker Arnaut Danjuma January transfer mooted to Ajax
Ajax may decide to come in for Everton attacker Arnaut Danjuma on one condition in the January transfer window, according to Mike Verweij.
The Telegraaf journalist claims that if the four-time Champions League winners lose Steven Bergwijn, Danjuma could be an option.
Danjuma moved to Goodison Park this summer but has struggled for game time.

“He mainly sits on the bench at Everton,” Verweij said.
“Perhaps that would also be a very good thing for Ajax, if Bergwijn were to leave in the winter. He has already been linked to Ajax a few times.
“And Ajax also had the chance to get him once. And they didn’t. Then he left for Belgium. So maybe it’s also a good one for Ajax.
“He played really well for the Dutch national team once. Then you thought: Well, he’s going to break through. He did well at Villarreal for a while but ended up sidetracked. And now at Everton.”
Let him go
Allowing Danjuma to depart Everton in January appears to be a sensible move as he has struggled for regular playing time under Sean Dyche.
Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison have secured their positions in the starting lineup and both are playing too good to be dropped. A lack of consistent minutes could hinder Danjuma’s development and potentially affect his performance if he remains on the sidelines.

Moreover, considering Everton’s surplus of wingers and Dyche’s settled choices, Danjuma’s departure could free up valuable resources and reduce the wage bill, allowing the club to explore other areas for reinforcement.
If Ajax express interest in acquiring him as a replacement for Bergwijn, it could present a mutually beneficial opportunity.
Danjuma, having showcased his talent with the Dutch national team and at Villarreal, might find a new lease of life at Ajax, reigniting his career and contributing to Toffees’ optimisation and financial flexibility.
