Neil Moxley blown away by ‘stunning’ Everton as they top ‘hot this week’ list
Neil Moxley has been blown away by the “stunning” response by Everton and manager Sean Dyche to their recent 10-point deduction.
Writing on page 52 of the Sunday People’s print edition on 10 December, the journalist included the Toffees at the top of his “hot this week” list following their 3-0 victory over Newcastle United on Thursday (7 December).
Those three points ensured the Blues moved out of the Premier League relegation zone after picking up two wins from their past three outings since being handed their punishment for breaching Premier League spending rules.

Due credit
It’s good to see that Everton and Dyche in particular are getting the credit they deserve on the back of their recent results following the points deduction.
While the defeat to Manchester United on 26 November could have sent the Toffees into panic mode, they have responded with back-to-back victories and clean sheets against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.
Dyche is the kind of manager to roll his sleeves up and get on with matters despite the harsh punishment they received, a trait that appears to have rubbed off on his players over the past couple of weeks.

The Blues are certainly not out of the woods yet and they do have some tough fixtures still to come, starting with Chelsea on Sunday at Goodison Park.
But there are certainly plenty of reasons for the Merseysiders to be optimistic on the back of their performances over the past couple of months as they look to ensure this is a successful campaign.
In other Everton news, Paul Merson has made a brand new Toffees prediction.
