Sky Sports pundit wowed by what ‘Outstanding’ Dwight McNeil did in Everton v Burnley
Andy Hinchcliffe was amazed by Dwight McNeil’s delivery from a corner as Amadou Onana opened the scoring for Everton in their 2-0 win against Burnley.
The Toffees had been putting the early pressure on, pushing Vincent Kompany’s men further back until finding the breakthrough after only 19 minutes through Amadou Onana.
The Sky Sports pundit praised the way the winger placed the ball on a plate for the Belgian midfielder to head home, towering above the Burnley team.

“It’s no real surprise that it’s come from a set piece,” Hinchcliffe said live on Sky Sports on Saturday (16 December, 5:49pm).
“Too big, too strong. The quality of the ball in, outstanding. The goalkeeper is just never getting there.”
Dyche-ball
Dyche is famed for his set-piece goals, normally depending on his gigantic centre-backs to tower above the opposition defence and fire home. And that was clearly the plan as Onana headed home too.
Having played under the manager at Burnley before transferring to Everton, McNeil knows Dyche’s tactics inside-out and delivered an inch-perfect corner to the back post for someone to attack it.

It must have felt like deja vu as the Clarets watched Onana slam his header home, also doing so against the same opposition in the EFL Cup. This will have been exaggerated when Michael Keane, a centre-back slotted past Trafford, with James Tarkowski scoring in the cup tie.
With all three points at Turf Moor, Everton have already escaped the relegation zone, having been dropped by 10 points due to a profit and sustainability breach.
And the season continues to get worse for Kompany’s Burnley side, who have claimed just eight points from 17 matches.
