Everton defender Vitalii Mykolenko injury news shared by Doctor for Fulham clash

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...

Everton defender Vitalii Mykolenko will undergo a late fitness test ahead of facing Fulham in the Carabao Cup, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The Toffees play host to the Cottagers at Goodison Park on Tuesday, 19 December and the Ukraine international is a doubt, having missed the Premier League clash against Burnley at the weekend.

However, the injury expert claims he will have been monitored daily and his groin injury is not understood to be a serious one.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

This sounds like he is being monitored day to day and his availability will depend on how he progresses.

Can’t say if he will be ok or not for mid week.

He will require a fitness test of sorts but yes, it’s not a serious one so it’s good news for Everton.

This will undoubtedly have come as a boost for the Toffees as Mykolenko is among the first names on the team sheet for Sean Dyche.

The Blues have a rare chance of making it to Wembley as they’re just two more wins from achieving that feat and go into the Fulham clash as favourites.

They are in a good run of form and their chances of winning significantly increase with a full-strength squad so Dyche will be hoping Mykolenko is back.

In other Everton news, a club shareholder has gone on record to slam a “terrible” development surrounding the Toffees and has made an admission on Sean Dyche.
