Everton to hold talks with Arnaut Danjuma over future in January transfer window
Everton are set to hold talks with loanee Arnaut Danjuma during the January transfer window about his future at the club, according to The Athletic.
The Dutch winger joined the club on a season-long loan in the summer after performing a stunning u-turn in January 2023 where he joined Tottenham instead despite already undergoing a medical.
But he has found himself on the fringes at Goodison Park this season under Sean Dyche and there has been some speculation he could leave to play regularly elsewhere, and a fresh report (26 December) shares there is hope he can still play a part this season.

“Conversations will also be held over Danjuma’s situation, with the summer loan signing struggling for minutes, but it is still hoped he can play a part this season,” they wrote.
Interesting
Everton have had a terrific season so far, even despite the ten-point deduction, and Danjuma has barely had a role to play in the campaign.
So far the 26-year-old has made just six starts this season and contributed to two goals, but he has found himself firmly behind Dwight McNeil, Jack Harrison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the pecking order in the attack.
There is no doubt that Danjuma is a fantastic talent and has the ability to really help the team when we’re in a tough position, but if Sean Dyche isn’t really a fan then what’s the point of keeping him around?

Financially the club is hardly in a good place and if we can bring in a player that Dyche is more of a fan of rather than just paying Danjuma then that would make a lot more sense as we look to continue to push up the table.
The final outcome of those talks will be very interesting for fans of the Toffees because the team can’t afford to be weakened in the transfer window with a big second half of the season ahead.
