Ex-Everton Employee shares what he was told about 777 takeover
Goodison News is delighted to welcome aboard our brilliant new columnist Bryan King, the former goalkeeper who spent over eight years as a scout at Everton and 28 years in total in first-team scouting roles. Bryan also spent six years on Tottenham’s recruitment team and 11 years scouting at Aston Villa across two different spells…
Bryan King has shared that he was told at Christmas that the proposed takeover of Everton by 777 Partners would not go through.
The Ex-Everton scout shared that things look to be in a “very delicate situation” at 777 with troubles at some of their other clubs, including Standard Liege.
Looking at the prospects of any new January signings, King believes that his former employers will need to be very careful with who they look at if money becomes available.

“I think Everton are hoping that the deal is going to be done for everything,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“Regarding the stadium, regarding new players but that is a very delicate situation at the moment because they’ve actually been stopped trading in Belgium and they’ve had an embargo there, what I’ve heard.
‘I think things are in a very delicate situation there at the moment, whether they’ve actually got the money they say they’ve got.

“Somebody told me that the deal wouldn’t go through before Christmas, but if it goes ahead, the money that the company say they’ve got would be beneficial to Everton, but they’ve got to go very carefully now about who they sign and what they bring into the football club.”
