Dominic Calvert-Lewin gamble mooted in big-money January transfer update at Everton
Goodison News is delighted to welcome aboard our brilliant new columnist Bryan King, the former goalkeeper who spent over eight years as a scout at Everton and 28 years in total in first-team scouting roles. Bryan also spent six years on Tottenham’s recruitment team and 11 years scouting at Aston Villa across two different spells…
Bryan King has mooted the potential sale of Everton star Dominic Calvert-Lewin in January as links to new attackers continue to emerge.
The latest of those is Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland, with HITC reporting on January 3 that the Toffees have watched the Scotland international closely.
The ex-Everton scout admitted that everything is a gamble at Goodison Park right now with the potential to sell Calvert-Lewin and generate a big fee.

“Well, would you get rid of Calvert-Lewin?” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“He could generate a big fee anyway, but would you be prepared to get rid of your best striker to bring in someone from Scotland?

“I think everything is a gamble at Everton at the moment, there are so many changes with people in high positions and the stadium.”
Shankland has scored 18 goals in all competitions, domestic and European, this season compared to the England international who only has four, with injuries playing their part again.
Calvert-Lewin is currently in the headlines for his red card against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, something that has since been appealed to the FA.
