Dharmesh Sheth drops multiple Everton new midfielder signings update at Goodison Park
Manchester United gem Hannibal Mejbri is one of multiple midfield targets Everton are monitoring during the January transfer window, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports journalist reported on his personal X account (10 January) that currently, Mejbri is more likely to join the Spanish giants than the ranks at Goodison Park, but the Toffees have a number of other potential targets currently on their radar.
Sean Dyche’s side aren’t set to have too much money to spend as they attempt to remain within the Premier League’s profit and sustained rules, however, they are looking at adding to their midfield options during the January window.
Writing on his X account, Sheth said: “As it stands, Sevilla more likely destination for Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri. Everton interested too – he’s one of a number of midfielders they’re looking at.”
Plan in place
Everton were clearly very interested in securing Hannibal’s services this month and they have made a genuine attempt to bring him to Goodison Park, but it’s safe to say that the Toffees haven’t put all their eggs into one basket this window.
They may have failed to get that deal over the line and while that will be frustrating for supporters on the blue half of Merseyside, it doesn’t mean that the Toffees won’t recruit before February and they seem to have other targets already lined up.

Who these potential new additions are remains a bit of a mystery and there haven’t been many concrete links out of Goodison Park this month other than the Toffees’ interest in Mejbri so it will be interesting to hear who Everton have identified.
What should come as a relief to supporters and as a bit of good news is that Everton are looking to strengthen for the second half of the campaign. Dyche’s side are still in a relegation battle and while they should have enough to dodge the drop, a couple of good January signings could make all the difference in the long run.
